**Job Summary**

The Yamhill County Sheriffs Office is seeking qualified candidates for entry-level Deputy positions in both our Corrections and Enforcement Divisions. As a Deputy, you will be responsible for maintaining the supervision, safety, security, and sanitation of adults in custody in the Yamhill County Correctional Facility. This includes escorting and transporting adults in custody within the facility, to other agencies, and any other appointments as necessary. You will also be responsible for controlling public movement within the facility.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Maintain the supervision, safety, security, and sanitation of adults in custody in the Yamhill County Correctional Facility
* Escort and transport adults in custody within the facility, to other agencies, and any other appointments as necessary
* Control public movement within the facility

**Requirements**

* Must be a U.S. citizen
* Must be at least 21 years old
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must have a valid driver's license

**Working Conditions**

* May be required to work overtime, including evenings, nights, and weekends
