About the Role
">We are seeking a Registered Nurse I to join our team at Northern Light Health. This is a unique opportunity for a beginning professional caregiver to establish a professional identity and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
">As a Registered Nurse I, you will be responsible for the practice of nursing according to the Rules and Regulations defined in the State of Maine Nurse Practice Act and Northern Light Health Standards of Care/Practice. You will deliver patient care to assigned patients and supervise other qualified staff to whom you have delegated patient care.
">You will plan and evaluate nursing care for patients and families and exercise independent judgment in implementing care or assigning care to other qualified staff. You will address physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs of patients and coordinate the plan of care with other healthcare professionals.

Requirements
">To be successful as a Registered Nurse I, you must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.
">You must also be able to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, you must be able to lift, move, and load 30 to 50 pounds and work alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).

Preferred Qualifications
">A wound certification and experience working in a hospital setting are preferred. However, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.

">Northern Light Health offers a competitive salary range of $62,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Educational Requirements
">An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Credentials
">A valid RN license in the State of Maine is required. BLS certification is also required.

Working Conditions
">The Registered Nurse I will work in a hospital setting, which requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day. The nurse may also be exposed to chemicals, radiation, and other hazardous materials.
