About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Press Brake / Laser Machine Operator to join our team at Tramec Sloan and Fleet Engineers in Muskegon, MI.

Job Overview

This is a full-time 1st shift (M - F, 6am - 2:30pm) position responsible for running and setting up a variety of equipment in the Tech Cell which includes Press Brakes; Laser and Buffalo Rolls machine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aligns parts or positions them against fixtures on a machine.
  • Stacks, racks, wraps, counts component or finished goods for placement onto skids.
  • Inspects parts according to requirements.
  • Use of calipers, tape measure, measuring fixtures and gauges.
  • Ability to use computer to log production documentation into Epicor software.
  • Ability to set-up and program Press Brakes, CNC Milling Machines, Fiber Optic Lasers & Rolls Equipment.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and make machine adjustments to assure dimensional compliance of parts.
  • Maintain production rate numbers and perform machine change overs in the appropriate time.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience on Press Brakes, Lasers and CNC Milling Machines.
  • Computer data entry
  • Able to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds overhead.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and able to read blueprints.
