Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembler B to join our team at Sherman and Reilly Inc. As an Assembly and Production Associate, you will be responsible for assembling component parts into completed units adhering to the bill of materials and production documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble or produce component parts into completed units according to production documents and bills of materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, handle materials, and operate tools such as drill, taps, torque wrench, etc.
  • Inspect parts using visual inspection, gauges, tape measures, check fixtures, or other inspection equipment
  • Perform a range of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision
  • Ensure all company-supplied tools are stored properly in designated cabinets daily
  • Assist in quality assurance testing and other efforts as required
  • Conduct rope winding as necessary
  • Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping
RequirementsQualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be able to perform each essential duty safely and effectively using good judgment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months' experience in a manufacturing environment
Language Skills

You should be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills

You should be able to perform basic mathematical calculations at a high school level, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and deal with problems involving root cause and corrective action analysis.

Work Environment

This role requires working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to vibration, and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually loud, and the temperature is uncontrolled.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this role is $18.44 - $24.73 per hour.
