About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Coordinator to join our team at Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, Hawaii.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires coordinating and preparing patients for various imaging procedures and exams. The ideal candidate will work within established guidelines and precedents to ensure efficient scheduling and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and prepare patients for routine and specialty imaging procedures, ensuring timely completion of exams and minimizing wait times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals to relay instructions and protocols for scheduled exams or procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient demographics, diagnostics, authorizations, physician orders, special instructions, and insurance information, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances, such as equipment downtime or patient cancellations, to minimize disruptions and maintain high productivity standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and imaging procedures, as well as familiarity with electronic health records systems.
  • A strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a positive work environment.
