As a key member of our team at Sonic Healthcare USA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement QA/QC policies to ensure regulatory compliance of laboratory procedures and processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results by maintaining adequate scheduling and coordination of workflow for assigned staff.
  • Manage and coordinate the procurement of Clinical Laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Supervise and control inventory distribution, identifying laboratory needs for equipment and staffing.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the laboratory field through self-education and continuing education programs.
  • Evaluate employees' work performance and document performance, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Initiate, design, and complete special projects, process improvements, or new method implementation in the Clinical Laboratory.
  • Ensure CAP/State regulatory compliance is met for all applicable areas.
  • Prepare for and participate in CAP/State regulatory inspections, providing required documents and responses to investigators' requested items.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in technical leadership or administrative roles.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Molecular Biology, by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
  • Expert knowledge in molecular techniques, equipment, and methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to collect and analyze data using graphs, tables, charts, and mathematical calculations.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Familiarity with informatics and data workflows, as well as clinical lab regulations and audits.

Work Environment:

Our laboratory operates in a temperature-controlled environment with occasional exposure to biological and chemical hazards. All safety equipment and personal protective equipment are provided.
