About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Downtown Houston Office Support Specialist to join our team at Kean Miller LLP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional support services in a fast-paced office environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys and staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes but is not limited to: providing copy services, performing quality reviews, maintaining equipment, preparing reports, inventory management, mail and package processing, and coordinating internal office moves.

Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide high-quality administrative support to attorneys and staff, including responding to emails, making phone calls, and preparing correspondence.
  • Copy Services: Maintain and operate all office equipment, including copiers, printers, and scanners, ensuring they are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Quality Reviews: Perform quality reviews of all projects upon completion to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform minor maintenance and repairs on office equipment, including solving paper jams, placing service calls, and conducting routine cleaning.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of office supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available when needed.
  • Mail and Package Processing: Process outgoing mail and packages for all delivery services, including US mail, FedEx, and UPS.
  • Internal Office Moves: Coordinate and assist with internal office moves, including packing, moving, and unpacking equipment and supplies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and attorneys at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience using printing and reproduction equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift 30+ pounds with ease, with regular standing, walking, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Reliability and Flexibility: Demonstrated reliability and flexibility, with the ability to work occasional early mornings or late evenings as needed.
What We Offer

Kean Miller LLP offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, disability, dental, vision coverage, and a 401(k) plan.
