Role Overview

As a key member of the Stantec team, you will play a critical role in expanding and growing the company's capacity to win and deliver drinking water projects in the United States. This position requires a strong understanding of client expectations, project budgeting, and proposal writing, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with North American sector leaders, project delivery specialists, and business developers to identify and support the win of strategic pursuits.
  • Act as a liaison between local and regional teams and the North American Sector Leader and practice community to leverage technical skills locally.
  • Reinforce Stantec's brand as a leader in water treatment through participation in industry organizations and communication with clients.
  • Regularly engage with clients and actively participate in American Water Works Association (AWWA) National and local section of AWWA.
  • Leverage understanding of legislative requirements and market drivers in the US to support and grow the drinking water portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the North American drinking water team to share knowledge and resources.
  • Participate in the North America Drinking Water Sector Team to bring services and specialists from the broader Stantec organization to clients.
  • Help recruit and retain a team of water treatment professionals with exceptional technical skills.
  • Engage in delivery of drinking water projects as a subject matter expert, leveraging expertise, industry best practices, and new or innovative technologies.

Requirements

  • Proven project management and technical skills applicable to delivering Drinking Water projects.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Understanding of client expectations, project budgeting, proposal writing, interviewing.
  • Proficiency in writing and communications; ability to work with and lead teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution, minimum with a graduate degree preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 15 years of directly relevant experience.
