Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at NorthBay Health. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist and instruct patients prior to and during examinations.
  • Evaluate each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
  • Responsible for patient confidentiality, safety, and well-being during examinations.
  • Inspect and clean equipment prior to use.
  • Report equipment failures and malfunctions to the ultrasound supervisor.
  • Send images to PACS, organize paperwork, and complete charge sheets.
  • Work in other areas of the department as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved ultrasound course.
  • RDMS or ARRT (Sonography) eligible; must be registered within 12 months of hire.
  • AHA or equivalent BLS certification.
  • Minimum two years hospital experience.
  • Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in various age groups.
