Data Analyst with Advanced Data Insights

The Data Analyst with Advanced Data Insights role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business growth. This position combines analytical prowess with the ability to represent complex data visually, enhancing decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data and reporting tools, and a genuine passion for uncovering insights that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns.
- Create informative and visually appealing dashboards and reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop and implement data visualization strategies to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements and objectives, and provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- Monitor and improve data quality across platforms to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize SQL to query and extract data from databases, and aggregate and summarize data to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Perform statistical analyses to identify trends and patterns, and collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to improve data collection processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, and train and support staff in data use and interpretation.
- Assist in the development of business cases based on data insights, and present findings to executive management and other stakeholders.
- Document processes and methodologies for data analysis to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analyst role, with strong proficiency in data visualization tools and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SQL and relational database management systems, and basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modeling, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and proven problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, and experience in developing dashboards for executive reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Willingness to participate in continuous learning and development, and local to Virginia or willingness to relocate.
