Radiation Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at MultiCare Health System. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver external beam radiation therapy in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from Radiation Oncology physicians and Medical Radiation Physicists.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed planned courses of radiation therapy per department procedures
  • Observe patients for unusual physical and psychological reactions, and report observations to the Clinical Nurse Specialist and/or Radiation Oncology physician
  • Maintain daily treatment schedules and work cooperatively with physicians, physics staff, and front office staff for scheduling treatment times, simulations, and diagnostic studies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Technology program and board eligible, and must be registered to sit for next board exam given
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy and certified as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Washington
  • AIDS certification for healthcare workers and CPR certification
