Senior Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Atrium Health Mercy, a Magnet designated hospital and Planetree designated patient-centered facility. As a Senior Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe working environment.
About the Role:
- Performs nursing care and assists with planning and implementing care for the comfort and well-being of patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assists in maintaining a safe working environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner.
Essential Functions:
- Participates in patient assessments by determining nursing care needs based on collection and interpretation of relevant data.
- Recognizes and determines need for immediate intervention.
- Demonstrates knowledge enabling documentation of patient observations, treatments, patient response to treatment, and nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing required.
- Current LPN licensure or temporary license as a licensed practical nurse petitioner required.
- BLS certification required per policy guidelines.
Work Environment:
The work environment requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds when handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
Estimated Salary:$63,250 - $85,350 per year
