Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing high-quality nuclear medicine procedures. Under the supervision of a Radiologist, this technologist will work with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to educate patients and families about the testing process and results.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including medical history and test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) licensure by the State of Texas Medical Board.
  • ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N) or CNMT certification.
