Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team at our Renwick, Iowa production location. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our harvest activities, including preparation, drying, shelling, and product unloading.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in harvest activities, including preparation, drying, shelling, and product unloading
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant, field, and warehouse operations
  • Accurately monitor highly automated equipment for processes such as harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packing
  • Product return and sorting activities
  • Actively participate in conditioning activities, including sizing, gravity operation, packaging, and palletizing
  • Field activities, including scouting, inspection, and managing logistics
  • Use of automation and computerized systems to perform work tasks
  • Perform warehouse activities, including forklift operation, collecting samples, pooling, and other duties associated
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or willingness to obtain GED within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting
  • Comfortable with technology and possess good computer aptitude, including Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • High diligence, ability to multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Value working as a team, proactive, communicate concerns, and accepting of change
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Uphold health and safety to the highest standard
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree
  • One year of education and/or experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or related industry
  • Knowledge or experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work
  • General knowledge and/or experience with field and/or agriculture equipment (plows, tractor, forklift, etc.)
