Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at HomeSmart Technologies, inc.

Responsibilities
  • Distribute and Manage Drawings:
    • Submit shop drawings to the Engineer of Record (EOR) for review, signing, and sealing.
    • Track the progress of these submissions to ensure the EOR completes the review promptly.
  • Permit Submission:
    • Submit both physical and digital permit set drawings to the local building department for review and approval.
    • Monitor the review process by staying in contact with the building department, tracking the timeline, and addressing any comments or revisions needed.
  • Design Coordination:
    • Work closely with design teams (architects, structural engineers, etc.) to address any design challenges or necessary changes that arise during the project.
    • Facilitate smooth communication between different design stakeholders to minimize design conflicts.
  • Project Approval:
    • Distribute all shop drawings and submittals to the General Contractor (GC) for approval.
    • Ensure the Architect of Record (AOR), EOR, and Private Provider review and approve these documents.
    • Address any feedback or required changes in a timely manner.
  • Inspection Management:
    • Schedule and manage all inspections for the project, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
    • Conduct walkthroughs with building inspectors and document the results in detailed reports.
    • Follow up on any issues raised during inspections and ensure they are resolved before re-inspection.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Approved Designs:
    • Monitor construction work to ensure it aligns with approved designs and best practices.
    • Conduct regular site visits to verify that work is proceeding as per the project plans.
  • Meetings Coordination:
    • Coordinate meetings with plan reviewers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or comments regarding the project.
    • Ensure meetings are productive, addressing and resolving any outstanding concerns or challenges.
  • RFI Management (Request for Information):
    • Use project management software to track and manage RFIs related to the project.
    • Ensure RFIs are addressed in a timely manner to avoid delays or confusion.

Tools and Software:

  • Procore: Used for tracking RFIs, submittals, and managing overall project documentation.
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM): Useful for coordinating design and construction documentation.
  • AutoCAD or BlueBeam: For reviewing and managing design drawings.
  • Asana: For scheduling and timeline management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction management
  • No less than 3 years experience in the construction field
Compensation and Benefits
