Activity Coordinator

About the Role:
The Resident Activity Assistant is a vital member of our team at Prestige Industries, responsible for organizing and participating in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one intervention, small group facilitation, and large group presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document individual participation and value of approaches in medical records
- Assist the resident activity director as needed
- Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation to the resident population
- Foster a sense of community within the center environment
- Develop and post monthly calendars as a planning resource for residents and families
- Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms
- Promote volunteer efforts in the community
- Store activity equipment and supplies and clean areas after conclusion of activities
- Utilize the biopsychosocial model to support resident well-being
- Provide or arrange for comfort/support to residents and families when needed
- Able to work with residents/families facing end-of-life issues
