Department Manager

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Department Manager to join our team in the General Merchandise department. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring a high level of customer service, and driving sales growth in the General Merchandise department.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily activities of the General Merchandise department, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction in the General Merchandise department.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Ensure a high level of store appearance and maintenance, including visual merchandising and inventory management.
- 2+ years of experience in a retail setting, preferably in a management or buyer role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
