Airport Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Airport Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Delta Air Lines. This role will involve working as a Ground Maintenance Technician (GMT) in a motorized role, specializing in the repair and maintenance of various airport systems and equipment.
About the Role:
As a GMT (Motorized), you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and overhauling all components of truck chassis, body, and drive-train components on a diverse range of equipment. You will also be expected to perform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair, painting, bodywork, and technical work.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and service equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Work with other teams to resolve issues and complete projects.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year degree from a post-secondary technical school or a minimum of three years of demonstrated ability preferred.
- Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Proficient in English.
- Ability to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subject areas.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information found in technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
- Strong communication skills while working as a team and coordinating repairs with other GMTs and outside vendors.
- Respond to customers' needs with minimum direction and perform repairs in time-sensitive situations.

Delta Air Lines offers a competitive salary of $31.22 per hour, with opportunities for increases within six months of hire based on performance and certifications. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we offer:
