Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering patient-centered care and demonstrating clinical competency in evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assess and recognize subtle or actual changes in patients' status, identifying nursing priorities and validating these with healthcare team members.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring that patient needs are met and care is coordinated.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, evaluating opportunities for quality improvement and incorporating recommendations into the plan of care.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • One year of experience as a registered nurse; successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or comparable residency accepted in lieu of experience.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
