We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at BELFOR Property Restoration. As the North American leader in integrated disaster recovery and property restoration services, we require professionals who can deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for creating and managing estimates and jobs in residential, commercial, and industrial lines of business. This involves meeting with clients, developing quality and competitive estimates using Xactimate software, managing work through completion, reviewing budgets, and communicating progress with clients and management.

Responsibilities
  • Create accurate scopes with minimal over/under scopes
  • Develop detailed floor plans and multi-level/roof sketches in Xactimate Sketch
  • Have a working knowledge of applicable building codes
  • Create and adhere to acceptable budgets, addressing overages as they arise
  • Use the BELFOR naming convention for estimates, revised estimates, proposals, change orders, etc.
  • Demonstrate expertise in local building codes
  • Maintain a construction schedule and collaborate with trades and management to ensure timely completion
  • Identify and present solutions when additional resources are needed
  • Exhibit proficiency in source removal, decontamination, mitigation, containment, ventilation, contents, and deodorization techniques
  • Proficient in investigative demolition, controlled demolition, decontamination, structure cleaning, and deodorization services
  • Participate in ongoing training with BELFOR University, focusing on Basic Xactimate training and preparing for Estimator Level , 2, or 3 User Certification test
  • Manage own work independently
  • Ensure vehicle safety and maintenance inspections, maintaining vehicles in good condition
  • Complete accident, injury, and incident reporting forms in a timely manner
  • Apply strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement efforts to establish BELFOR USA Group, Inc. as a World Class company
  • Adhere to company and department policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality estimates and projects
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Xactimate software and other industry-specific tools
  • Passion for delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment
