Utility Engineer Position

Relevante is seeking a highly skilled Utility Engineer to join our team in the Fulshear, TX area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and utility management, with experience in creating and maintaining utility layout sheets, utility line work DGNs, and KMZ files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with utility companies to resolve conflicts and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Obtain utility plans, specifications, and estimates, as well as utility agreements and schematic designs.
  • Assist in supervising professional and administrative staff, and maintain client relationships.
  • Review and sign test hole data sheets, and ensure compliance with TxDOT and UAR standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a PE license.
  • 3+ years of experience in transit and/or DOT highway design, including coordination and SUE investigations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and highway design programs, such as Bently MicroStation V8i.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TxDOT Precertification.
  • Experience with software skills, such as Bluebeam and MicroStation V8i.
  • Transit-related engineering experience, including Bus Rapid Transit and Light Rail Transit planning.
