We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital.
Job SummaryThe RN Clinical Staff Float Pool is responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care during 12-hour night shifts in the Telemetry unit. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, increasing patient satisfaction, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Utilize critical thinking and experience to anticipate and plan to meet patient and family needs, recognizing subtle changes in clinical situations and evaluating and appropriately altering the plan of care.
- Nursing Process and Prioritization: Demonstrate the use of nursing process as a problem-solving model, prioritizing and organizing patient care and ensuring follow-through with planned care.
- Clinical Decision-Making: Consistently apply current literature/research findings and critical thinking skills to make sound clinical decisions, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and needs of patients served on the assigned unit.
- Patient Communication and Satisfaction: Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the health care continuum, respecting patient rights and conducting hourly rounding on patients.
- Documentation and Quality Improvement: Perform documentation of patient care, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care (IPOC), implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care, following unit-specific and hospital documentation policies and procedures.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Bachelor in Nursing degree or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care nursing. Current California Nursing license and Basic EKG Competence are also required. Bilingual skills, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card within 90 days of hire are preferred.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
