Job Description:
The Psychiatric Admissions RN plays a crucial role in facilitating seamless patient admissions to UHS facilities. This dynamic role requires a skilled and compassionate RN with experience in mental health and a strong understanding of EMTALA guidelines.

About the Role:
In this position, you will work closely with the Shift Triage Coordinator to receive and process patient admissions, ensuring timely and efficient responses to referrals and receiving units. Your exceptional communication and organizational skills will enable you to effectively coordinate patient admissions and ensure a smooth transition for patients and families.

Responsibilities:
* Receive and review patient admissions, verifying accuracy and completeness of patient information
* Coordinate with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to gather necessary information and complete patient admissions
* Enter relevant data into electronic medical records (EMRs) for accurate tracking and billing
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and referring sources, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly

Requirements:
* Current Texas RN licensure
* 1+ years of experience in mental health nursing
* Strong understanding of EMTALA guidelines and regulations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary Range:
$85,000 - $110,000 per year
