Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with performing assessments and treatments under the supervision of a dentist.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographs and obtain alginate impressions for diagnostic and/or intra-oral appliances.
  • Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including maintaining dental equipment and medical supplies.
  • Work in clinical and operating room settings as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • State certified as a Dental Assistant Radiographer.
  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of dental assisting experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to ambulate patients for x-rays and to dental chair.
  • Dexterity sufficient to operate CRT/PC and other office equipment.
  • Ability to work while standing the majority of work day.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
