Opportunity

We are seeking a resident-focused CNA to join our nursing staff. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, utilizing restorative nursing principles to promote and maintain individuals at their highest level of functioning.
  • Report any changes in resident condition to the supervisor on duty.
  • Conduct resident rounds as assigned.
  • Document resident progress according to corporate guidelines.
  • Complete admission and discharge procedures.
  • Foster self-respect and a feeling of worth in each resident through consistent kindness, understanding, and patience.
  • Participate in resident care planning as assigned.
  • Use proper equipment and techniques to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely, following community policies and procedures.
  • Ensure residents have call lights at hand or can be seen by staff.
  • Answer call lights promptly.
  • Assist residents with meals, nourishment, hydration, and transportation.
  • Provide quality customer service to residents, families, and staff.
  • Work cooperatively with residents, staff, volunteers, and families to ensure residents receive the best quality care.
  • Be dependable and punctual, coming to work as scheduled.
  • Use proper care and use of equipment and waste disposal procedures according to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Participate in all in-services and activities as required.
  • Follow all written and oral directions given by the supervisor.
  • Observe all community policies and procedures, including safety, infection control, residents' rights, and those contained in the employee handbook and nursing policy and procedure manual.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all protected health information exposed to during the course of assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Complete and pass training and competency exams as approved by the State Board of Health.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Able to read and comprehend written resident care instructions and chart resident conditions.
  • Able to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Demonstrate dependability, cooperation, and interest in the care of the elderly.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, and visitors.

Shifts Available

Every other weekend required.

Day shift (6 am – 2 pm) – 5.

Evening shift (2 pm – 10 pm) – 7.

Overnight (10 pm to 6 am) – 2.
