Meat and Seafood Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Meat and Seafood Specialist to join our Fresh Thyme Market team. As a key member of our Meat Department, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of product quality, presentation, and customer service.

• Stocking and Display: Ensure all meat and seafood cases are fully stocked and visually appealing, adhering to department schematics and company standards.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including meat and seafood cases, storage areas, and equipment.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues or concerns to management.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of grocery retail experience in a Meat Department preferred.
• Skills: Basic math skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and knowledge of proper food handling and safety procedures.
• Licensure/Certification: Food Safety Certification a plus.

This role requires standing for long periods, frequent bending, lifting, and reaching. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to extreme temperatures.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
