Position Summary: The Attending Physician at Argon Agency will deliver psychiatric care, focusing on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with mental health challenges. This position requires collaboration with a diverse team of professionals to provide exceptional mental health services while prioritizing patient safety and well-being.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Care:
    • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to identify mental health issues.
    • Create, implement, and oversee personalized treatment strategies.
    • Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring their effective use and monitoring for adverse effects.
    • Provide psychotherapy or direct patients to suitable therapeutic options as necessary.
    • Track and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as required.
  2. Team Collaboration:
    • Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff.
    • Participate in case discussions, treatment planning sessions, and team meetings.
    • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and caregivers, offering education and support.
  3. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain precise and current medical records in line with regulatory and facility standards.
    • Ensure all documentation adheres to legal and ethical confidentiality standards.
    • Follow all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  4. Professional Growth:
    • Stay informed about advancements in psychiatry and mental health care.
    • Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development activities.
    • Provide mentorship and supervision to medical students, residents, or other healthcare professionals as needed.
  5. Quality Enhancement:
    • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving patient care and operational efficiency.
    • Contribute to the creation and application of evidence-based practices and clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in the relevant state.
  • Certification: Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a mental health environment is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical expertise in psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Work Environment:
