Shuttle Driver and Transportation Specialist

As a Shuttle Driver and Transportation Specialist at SP+, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional client and customer experiences. Guided by the SP+ Promise, your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless transportation experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience by answering questions, offering city directions, and providing assistance as needed.
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Be punctual, in uniform, and possess a valid driver's license and DMV record to uphold the highest level of professionalism.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, and landmarks to provide accurate directions and support to customers.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Requirements:

  • Less than High School education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
  • DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required for safe operation of vehicles.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos to stay informed about company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one situations to customers and employees of the company to build trust and rapport.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance while operating vehicles.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds to maintain a safe work environment.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year based on location and experience.
