**Job Description**
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Benchmark Senior Living. As a Registered Nurse, your primary role will be to deliver high-quality nursing care to our residents within a comfortable and home-like environment.
You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Accurately assessing, communicating, and documenting residents' status
- Observing and reporting any significant changes in resident behavior and health
- Directing and supervising the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants
- Closely mentoring and guiding Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job
- Coordinating care needs with community providers via an effective case management process
- Effectively balancing service demands with supporting resident independence
- Recognizing and assisting in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation
- Responding to emergencies and personal emergency response system situations
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A current state license as an RN and CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved RN program (per state requirements)
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
