Avantor, a leading global provider of essential materials and technologies for the life sciences and high-performance industries, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Biopharma Warehouse team at our Devens, MA facility.
About the Role:
This full-time, 1st Shift position (Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm) offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that supports safe handling of critical products for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments on appropriate forms
- Move inbound shipments safely to storage locations
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders
- Operate material handling equipment such as fork trucks, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks
- Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
- Comply with company standards and OSHA requirements
- Keep accurate records and reports
- Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts
- Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions
- Repair and consolidate damaged goods as required
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 0 – 2 years' related experience
- OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow directions with emphasis on safety
What We Offer:
As a Material Handler at Avantor, you can expect a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
