Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead our Roadway team in St. Louis, Missouri.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our growth in Missouri as we expand our teams in St. Louis. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing complex and high-priority projects, ensuring successful project deliverables and completion.

You will provide direction to the Roadway team, ensuring quality execution of key projects that provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve engineering and design needs.

Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develops project scopes, schedules, and budgets and tracks progress to manage the financial success of projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Complex Contract Negotiations: Manages complex contract negotiations with clients and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Leads the execution of project plans by assembling and managing project teams, coordinating availability of internal resources, and assigning individual responsibilities ensuring technical skills, capabilities, and expertise align with project objectives.
  • Liaison: Serves as primary liaison between all parties involved in a project, including clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitors progress and measures project performance, ensuring deliverables fall within established scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Change Requests: Manages change requests, executes risk management techniques, and implements strategies to minimize negative financial impact to the project.
  • Quality Control: Coordinates detailed reviews of technical work to ensure high-quality work is being performed and the terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in the project contract are being fulfilled.
  • Client Relationship: Maintains an ongoing positive relationship with clients and focuses on exceptional client service to secure future work.
  • Documentation: Documents all project deliverables and maintains comprehensive records including correspondence, design plans, and other project-related files.
  • Mentorship: Mentors and supervises staff within the team on project management best practices utilizing Olsson Project Management programs and other project support services resources.
Qualifications
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Experience: 8+ years of experience in highway or municipal design, with a proven track record of leading project management teams.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Certifications: Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive our traditional benefits package, including health care, vision, dental, paid time off, etc., plus:
