Job Description: As a Perioperative Nurse Educator, you will support perioperative services as we expand into new OR spaces. Your primary responsibility will be to educate new nurses during their transition to independent OR nursing. You will lead the development and oversight of both the orientation of new employees and the ongoing evidence-based competency program. Additionally, you will monitor ongoing progress and adapt the learning plan as needed in collaboration with RN preceptors, Clinical Leaders, and Nurse Directors across perioperative services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the learning needs of experienced staff and prepare appropriate educational programs
  • Develop and revise written protocols, policies, and procedures guiding perioperative care in accordance with evidence-based practice

Required Skills and Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required, while procedural nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing are preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
