Job Summary

The University of Utah College of Health and Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to support our research program evaluating telehealth rehabilitation for individuals with chronic pain conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing telehealth sessions, interacting with patients and research participants, and collaborating with other research staff on the study team.

Due to the patient population involved in this study, the ideal candidate should be able to communicate in both Spanish and English.

Responsibilities
  • Provide telehealth sessions involving instruction in exercise, patient education, and self-management of chronic pain
  • Participate in obtaining informed consent
  • Assist in scheduling patients for follow-up study treatment sessions and assessments
  • Data entry into REDCap study database
  • Documentation of all communications and sessions with study participants
Requirements
  • Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Utah or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the Physical Therapy Compact
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with human subjects research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software programs
  • Experience with REDCap
