Financial Management Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to join our team at MAINSAIL Group in Boston, MA and Washington, DC. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial management and comptroller support for the Government on a wide variety of programs, including cost research, cost estimating, Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation and analysis, schedule networking, program control integration and analysis, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and provide inputs to program financial management, including budget formulation and management for all phases of the DoD planning, programming, budgeting and execution process.
  • Analyze and interpret data from various financial systems and databases, including Comprehensive Cost and Requirements System (CCaRS), MOCAS, CRIS, EDA, WAWF, Automated Business Services System (ABSS), Defense Integrated Financial System (DIFS), DSAMS, and CMCS.
  • Reconcile contracts at the Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) and Accounting Classification Reference Number (ACRN) level across multiple Government systems and contractor accounting databases.
  • Expedite final billings of fixed-price items, cost and fee, as well as expedite deobligation of excess funds and release of withholds.
  • Resolve unpaid canceling year funds balances to prevent and minimize current-for-cancelled bills.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in DoD accounting and financial management, functions, tools, processes, governing regulations, and systems. A Master's degree from an accredited institution in a related field such as business management or accounting is also required.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location: Boston, MA and Washington, DC.
