Substitute Preschool Teacher in Severna Park

We're seeking a flexible substitute teacher to join our on-call list at Guidepost Montessori in Severna Park, MD. This position will support multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms, with no prior Montessori training required. We'll provide comprehensive training as part of your orientation and onboarding process.
This is an on-call position, where we'll reach out to you as needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are absent. The pay range is between $15.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on your experience.
The Substitute Teacher role is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door at Guidepost Montessori. Many of our substitutes have transitioned into full-time Assistant or Lead Teachers with us when new openings became available.
About the Role- Experience working with children aged 0-3
- CDA or Associate's Degree with Early Childhood Education coursework
- Maryland Credentials (45/90 hour course work)
- Valid negative TB test taken within the last 12 months (prior to start date with Guidepost)
- Ability to work well with other adults
- Growth mindset and problem-solving approach
- Familiarity with the Montessori approach to education is preferred but not required
