Key Responsibilities

  • Our Electrical Maintenance Technician will ensure that Health and Safety is a top priority by following safe work practices and processes.
  • Troubleshoot instrument and control malfunctions and perform maintenance checks on plant control systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of calibration checks, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Install new systems and controls, including power wiring and electrical systems, adhering to Clean Harbors' safety protocols.
  • Manage plant control systems, including programming, HMI graphics, and troubleshooting, to optimize system performance.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance work, including cabling and motor control center installation, to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Follow safe and compliant working procedures and maintain a clean work environment, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the team's goals and objectives.
  • Required to have experience with Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Experience with DCS and PLC programming, analog loop tuning, and electrical system troubleshooting is essential.
  • Computer networking and Microsoft Office software skills are necessary for this role.
  • Setting up hardware to communicate with remote PLC's and DCS requires expertise in this area.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • An electrical license is essential for this role.
  • At least 5 years of electrical experience is necessary to be considered for this position.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and process instrumentation diagrams is required.
  • Ability to work independently and on an on-call basis is essential for this role.
