Dental Office Coordinator/Manager

The Front Desk Receptionist and Administrative Assistant will be working under the direct supervision of the Office Manager and will be reporting to the Office Manager.
The Front Desk Receptionist and Administrative Assistant will be also working with the Office Dental Billing Specialist and the Claims Processing Staff members,
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
organizing and performing the dental office's day-to-day operations, which include maintaining patient records, scheduling patients, accounts receivable, maintaining the appearance and order of the dental office, presenting financial treatment plan alternatives, and using EzDental or Dentrix.
- Answering phones and greeting patients when they come,
- Answering incoming emails,
- Making and canceling appointments with patients,
- Dental treatment planning and charting,
- Filling up patients forms, insurance papers and keeping track of dental billing information,
- The process of converting dental services into billable codes,
- Test results, including x-rays, are handled,
- Contacting and coordinating with dental labs and arranging for pickups and drop offs,
- Office duties include document filing, scanning, and creation,
- Incoming fax messages are received and distributed,
- Prepare outgoing mail,
- Maintain the reception area as well as the waiting room,
- Opening and closing the office,
- and more
Personal Qualifications:
- Experience with EzDental and/or Dentrix (or other Dental software),
- Minimum three years of office experience is required,
- University/college degree is an asset, or minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificates,
- Familiarity with phone systems,
- Computer knowledge is a must
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office software preferred (MS. Word, Excel and Outlook),
- Legible handwriting for notations in charts.
