Cynet Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist II to join our team in Chapel Hill, NC.
Compensation PackageThe estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist II will be responsible for demonstrating advanced knowledge in respiratory care and assigned patient care areas. Duties include:
- Airway management and mechanical ventilator management
- Oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and other respiratory care procedures
- Bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, and arterial punctures
- Tracheostomy care and endotracheal intubations and extubations
The individual will also manage all aspects of airway care and perform pulmonary function testing as needed. Additional responsibilities include transporting pediatric and neonatal patients per protocol and managing extracorporeal circulation for cardiac and respiratory support.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, applicants must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information, effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and staff, have strong mathematical skills, and demonstrate an ability to solve problems by collecting data and drawing valid conclusions.
The candidate should function independently with minimal supervision and act as a resource to other staff members reflective of their experience level. Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required, and all certifications must be maintained as necessary by the certifying body.
