Electrophysiology Technologist

Orlando Health is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our EP Lab, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention for cardiovascular procedures.

• Work under the supervision of a preceptor and/or charge personnel to deliver high-quality patient care and demonstrate competency in assessing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures and protocols.
• Ensure patient understanding of procedures performed and provide patient and family education while ensuring patient needs, safety, and comfort are met.
• Apply knowledge of Bloom stimulator and physician EP protocols to acquire high-quality images and signals for interpretation.
• Assess processed images for technical quality and patient identification, ensuring all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
• Apply principles of radiation safety and protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
• Provide physiological and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Support physicians as a scrub assistant for Electrophysiology Studies, Ablations, and Cardiac Implant procedures.
• Maintain aseptic and sterile technique and document patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner meeting all required and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate and obtain hemostasis of a vessel post procedure and maintain customer service skills in communication with all staff, visitors, patients, and co-workers.
• Perform all duties necessary to assure patient satisfaction and ensure case turnover time is within established department standards.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care (RRT) or (CRT), Radiological Technology (RT), or Cardiovascular Technology (CVT).
• Maintain current BLS certification and licensure or certification as required by education.
