Senior Network Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology Group at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical part in crafting the future of mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support wireless operations, deployments, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the wireless infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering and services teams and maintain installation documentation, standards, and troubleshooting/support guides.
- Develop and train others on the use of tools and processes (Cisco Prime, Catalyst Center, Splunk, LiveAction, LogScale).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of AireOS and IOS Wireless Infrastructure experience.
- 3+ years of Cisco Prime and Catalyst Center experience.
- 5+ years of GUI and CLI familiarity with Wireless Controllers.
- 5+ years of Cisco Routers / Switches experience.
- 3+ years of Change / Incident / Problem Management experience.
- 5+ years of Wireless Network Operations/Implementation/Engineering Experience in Routing, Switching and Designs, Configuration and Troubleshooting.
Preferred Requirements
- Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
- Agile Project Methodologies and Tools (ex. Rally, Document Repositories, SharePoint, Design/Standards).
- Knowledge of Software Define Networking, Scripting, BMC and Support Tools.
- Functional Understanding of IT Service Management / IT Infrastructure Library.
- Ability to Solve Complex Problems that Span Across Network, Client, and Hosting Technologies.
- Exceptional Communication and Organizational Skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to effectively communicate on technical and non-technical subjects.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a variable workload within an environment with conflicting demands.
