As a Data Scientist Lead - Business Insights, you will be part of a cross-functional team delivering products customers love. Your key responsibilities will include leveraging technologies to reveal insights hidden within large volumes of numeric and textual data, building machine learning models through all phases of development, and translating complexity into tangible business goals.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Innovative, continually researching emerging technologies and applying them to real-world problems.
  • Creative, bringing definition to complex data-driven projects.
  • Technical, comfortable with open-source languages and passionate about developing further.
  • Statistically-minded, building models, validating them, and backtesting them.
  • A data expert, comfortable with big data and retrieving, combining, and analyzing data from various sources and structures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in data analytics or Master's Degree or PhD with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
  • At least 1 year of experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience with machine learning.
  • At least 1 year of experience with relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in STEM field or PhD in STEM field.
  • Experience working with AWS.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Python, Scala, or R.
  • At least 2 years' experience with machine learning.
  • At least 2 years' experience with SQL.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
