Tandym Health is a reputable healthcare organization in New York seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatrist to join their dynamic Outpatient team on a part-time basis.

Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed psychiatrist to provide high-quality care to patients while working collaboratively with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric examinations, evaluations, and assessments for patients
  • Facilitate group and family education and therapy sessions
  • Order suicide precautions as necessary
  • Provide treatment for children and adolescents, including individual, supportive, behavioral, cognitive, and insight-oriented therapy
  • Order laboratory tests or diagnostic assessments, including consultation with medical specialty providers
  • Perform first aid and medical triage, including initial physical examinations for new admissions
  • Assume other duties as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Licensure to practice medicine in the State of New York
  • Board eligibility/certification in Adult Psychiatry
  • Valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
  • Valid Federal Narcotics Number (DEA Number)
  • Enrollment in CMS and participation in Medicare and Medicaid OPRA programs

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $250,000 per year, based on national averages for part-time Adult Psychiatrists in New York.
