Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mental Health Nursing Professional to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens.

Job Responsibilities
  • Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients within an assigned unit.
  • Coordinates and guides the preparation and maintenance of nursing care plans and progress notes.
  • Reviews and analyzes trends pertinent to the delivery of nursing care services and initiates appropriate innovations or recommendations for change.
  • Develops and maintains a system of evaluation of nursing care, practices, and procedures.
Requirements
  • A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • Holds or obtains through facility orientation a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One (1) year of experience as a registered nurse.
