Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced litigation paralegal to join our growing practice at Gomez Law, APC. As a paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in consumer-facing real estate litigation cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, scheduling meetings and conveying information to the client, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage the legal team's calendar, including scheduling meetings, court appearances, depositions, trial conferences, and case reviews.
  • Calculate, calendar, and track approaching deadlines.
  • Draft legal documents, including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.
  • Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
Requirements
  • 2-year experience in litigation paralegal work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Knowledge of Westlaw and Clio Manage.
  • Ability to draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Knowledge of civil court procedures and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
