Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations under the direction of a physician to assist in the medical diagnosis or treatment of injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations safely and effectively, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate MRI equipment, adjusting settings as needed to obtain high-quality images.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
- Current ARRT certification and Montana state licensure, or eligibility to obtain.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy is also required.
