Research Data Analyst

About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Analyst to join our team at the Population Studies and Training Center at Brown University. The successful candidate will work closely with our research group, Opportunity Insights, to develop scalable policy solutions that empower families to rise out of poverty and achieve better life outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct data analysis and statistical development to support research projects
* Write academic papers and prepare presentations to communicate research findings
* Collaborate with team members, media, and other project partners to disseminate research results
* Gather and clean datasets to support research projects
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience as a research assistant, especially quantitatively analyzing big real-time data, strongly preferred
* Programming experience in Stata, SAS, R, and/or Python
* Strong quantitative skills and excellent conceptual understanding of economic models and econometric/statistical techniques
* Demonstrated commitment to supporting a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment
