About the Role

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping experience and be able to operate various cleaning equipment and compounds. You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the physical plant, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Collecting and disposing of trash, twice daily
  • Polishing and stripping floors
  • Cleaning high places, walls, ceilings, windows, and fixtures
  • Assisting with emergency sanitation and moving heavy furniture

In addition, you will be responsible for setting up conference and meeting rooms, maintaining supply closets, and ensuring that all areas are left clean and free of debris.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • The ability to lift weights in excess of 30lbs and perform physical exertion throughout the day
  • Good hearing and vision, as well as mobility and dexterity in both arms
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $35,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
