Overview:

Trinity Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of railcars and other industrial products. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Training Specialist to join our team in Saginaw, TX.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for identifying and tracking training needs, implementing training programs, and collaborating with production operations areas to achieve expected results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with internal procedures for identifying training needs.
  • Implement direct and indirect labor certification cycle in USA plants.
  • Achieve effectiveness of workforce through efficient training programs.
  • Develop and maintain training matrices for direct and indirect labor.
  • Implement simulator work environments in plants (Painting, Welding, QA, Maintenance, EHS, etc.).
  • Support consolidation of information on Welding and Coatings Schools.
  • Implement On-the-Job training standards.
  • Guarantee world-class training facilities in USA plants.
  • Manage and control technical training data.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory organisms (AAR, FRA, OSHA, and government agencies).
  • Implement Trinity Rail Production System for excellent training at POA.
  • Support cost improvement through efficient training service organization.
  • Research, evaluate, and partner with vendors and third-party training providers for specialized skills and knowledge.
  • Develop, manage, and track annual training plans.
  • Forecast budget and man hours required for annual plan.
  • Develop New Hire Orientation Program for plants.
  • Develop and implement Train the Trainer programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Engineering, or related area.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
  • 5 years of experience in Technical Training.
  • Ability to manage training programs, collaborate with business units, and process leaders.
  • Knowledge of training regulations, adult learning principles, instructional methods, and E-Learning/B-Learning.
Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
