Salary and Benefits
">As a Special Response Team RN, you can expect a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also receive paid time off (PTO), extended illness benefit (EIB), flexible spending accounts (FSA), choice of insurance plans, educational assistance, bereavement leave, and a 401(k) match.
Job Description
">We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Special Response Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as a resource for staff and other disciplines, strengthening interdisciplinary relationships, and adhering to all policies and practices relative to patient care.
Responsibilities

- Strengthen interdisciplinary relationships with members of the healthcare team">
- Adhere to all policies and practices relative to patient care and hospital-related information">
- Improve knowledge, skills, and performance based on feedback or self-identified developmental needs">
- Manage the care of patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation">
- Provide basic psychosocial support and counseling">
- Respond to emergent situations and initiate appropriate actions">
- Seek out nursing, physician, or other healthcare team interventions when necessary">
- Perform work in a timely and productive manner">
- Maintain critical thinking skills and analytical and problem-solving abilities">
- Cultivate professional relationships and communication in the clinical environment">
- Document in the medical record according to established procedures">
- Ensure equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate department">
- Establish appropriate, assertive, and professional communication strategies">
- Coordinate interdepartmental activities to expedite care">
- Coordinate, provide, and evaluate patient/family education">
- Contribute to universal unit activities, including responding to call lights and telephone">
- Comply with established medication use policies and safety policies">
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure quality patient care">
- Communicate patient condition to physicians and key members of the healthcare team">
Requirements
">To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- ">
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree">
- Registered Nurse license in KY or compact license">
- BLS, ACLS, PALS within 7 days of hire">
- NIHSS within 30 days of hire">
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license">
- Advanced Certification within 6 months of hire">
- Four years of nursing experience in ICU or ED">
- Demonstrated competence in professional nursing practice">
- Able to pass all required testing for Registered Nurses">
- Flexible scheduling to meet the requirements of the unit assigned">
Location
">This role is based in Georgetown, Kentucky, and requires flexibility to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
