**Job Summary**

At Kent Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our laboratory by performing various administrative and clerical duties.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in the performance of phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and capillary puncture, to collect blood samples for laboratory testing.
  • Process and handle laboratory specimens, including labeling, sorting, and storing.
  • Operate laboratory information systems (LIS) to manage and track laboratory results.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.

**Requirements**

  • Associate's degree in biological science or related field required.
  • Phlebotomy certification and up to date competency required.
  • Familiarity with laboratory terminology, sample handling procedures, and laboratory information systems (LIS) required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
